Manual crank drive for adjusting the louvers of your FLEX-WOOD patio cover — that is, the FLEX-WOOD louvers installed horizontally as a roof. The crank rotation is transferred via an angle gearbox to a spindle linear actuator, which continuously rotates the louvers from fully closed to widely open. No electricity, no control system, no cable ducts.
-
No power connection required — no power supply, wireless receiver, or remote control
-
Continuous adjustment — any intermediate position can be held
-
Self-locking spindle — the louvers remain exactly in the set position
-
Complete set — linear actuator, 90° angle gearbox, telescopic crank, brackets, and fastening materials
-
Illustrated installation instructions included
Your louvered roof — completely cable-free
A louvered roof is only worthwhile if you actually use it: block out the low morning sun, open it at midday for ventilation, and close it tightly before a storm. FLEX-WOOD’s manual drive gives you precisely this control — just a few turns of the crank are enough to set the louvers to any desired position.
This solution is suitable wherever no power connection is available or where one is intentionally avoided: freestanding pergolas and carports without a power supply, patios under construction, structures away from the building — and anywhere you want complete independence from electronics.
How it works
-
Telescopic hand crank — you operate it at a comfortable height without a ladder; after use, slide it together and hang it in the wall bracket.
-
90° angle gearbox — converts the horizontal crank rotation into rotation of the drive spindle, allowing the drive to sit close to the post or beam.
-
Spindle linear actuator — the spindle extends and retracts the piston rod, converting rotation into a pushing motion.
-
Triangular brackets and universal joint — transfer the movement to the control bar, which rotates all the louvers simultaneously.
The threaded spindle is self-locking: the louvers remain exactly where you set them — regardless of wind load or the roof’s own weight.
Scope of delivery
- Manual linear actuator
- 90° angle gearbox with mounting bracket
- Hand crank with telescopic rod and wall bracket
- Triangular brackets
- Universal connection (universal joint) with pin
- Set of screws, nuts, and spacers
- Illustrated installation instructions
Installation
Installation is entirely mechanical: screw the triangular brackets to the control bar, connect them to the linear actuator, couple the actuator to the angle gearbox via the universal joint, and attach the gearbox and crank bracket to the structure. You will need a cordless screwdriver, a set of wrenches, a spirit level, and a second person when aligning the actuator.
